Sam has a wide variety of sports background from football, swimming, basketball, golf and Crossfit. This has allowed him to witness a wide variety of injuries, aiding in his clinical judgement. Because of this, he uses a variety of treatment methods including dry needling, shockwave therapy, soft tissue massage, spinal mobilisations and rehabilitation to achieve the best results in patients recovery.

Outside of work she enjoys long walks with her dog Freddie a naughty spaniel, socialising with her family and friends and going to the theatre.

Alicia

Sports Therapist

Alicia graduated in 2019 and has gained extensive knowledge in assessing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. She has since completed her Masters (MSc) in 2021. She has experience working in private practice, the NHS, and with recognised sports clubs/teams.

Being an athlete herself since a young age, competing regularly at club and county level athletics, Alicia knows how frustrating it can be to have an injury and this is what sparked her interest to help others.

She uses a range of treatment, such as soft tissue massage, joint mobilisations, dry needling and shockwave, as well as providing rehabilitation exercises and programmes to help people return to full function, whether it be performance related or being able to go about their daily life pain free.

In her free time, Alicia enjoys regularly training, competing and coaching for her athletics club, and going for dog walks.

Freddie

Physiotherapist

Freddie is a physiotherapist who graduated with First-Class Honours from the University of Hertfordshire. He has gained diverse experience across outpatient and private clinic settings, as well as providing pitch-side care and supporting local football clubs.

A former high-level footballer, Freddie’s own injury journey inspired his career in physiotherapy. This background gives him a unique insight into the physical and mental challenges of rehabilitation, along with the demands of returning to peak performance. He designs tailored rehabilitation plans that blend hands-on manual therapy with strength and conditioning principles, supporting clients to recover effectively, restore function, and achieve their goals.

Outside the clinic, Freddie enjoys playing football, refining his golf game, and training in the gym.

Callum

Sports Therapist

With 8 years experience, Callum brings a wealth of knowledge to 5Physio. He has worked with athletes from his time at Sudbury Rugby club, Salford FC and England amputee football.

Recently he has expanded his reach by delivering high quality rehabilitation programmes whilst travelling South America for 2 years. Passionate about providing personalised care, Callum tailors each rehab plan to suit the individual needs of every one of his clients. He believes in empowering clients by equipping them with the knowledge and tools to manage their recovery and return to the activities they love.

When he’s not working, Callum enjoys strength training, competing in long distance triathlons and fishing.

Tiago

Physiotherapist

Tiago is a Physiotherapist at 5Physio. Prior to joining 5Physio, he gained experience both in the NHS and the private sector. He has treated athletes, work related injuries and those suffering from chronic pain. The wide variety of injuries and medical conditions he has treated allows Tiago to create bespoke plans for each individual patient.

To ensure optimal treatment, Tiago also keeps up to date with the latest research. This approach allows several different techniques to be applied to reach the best outcome.

Tiago is a keen football player and has had enough unique injuries to inform his therapy skills, aiding in solving the real issue. He uses treatments such as soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, dry needling and shockwave therapy to help aid his patients recovery.

Tiago, unlike the others, has no idea what to do on a golf course.

Susi

Chief Administration Officer

Susi joined our reception team having previously worked for 18 years in education teaching German, within a few short years she has progressed to be our Chief Administration Officer (CAO).

Outside of work she enjoys long walks, going to the theatre and losing herself in a good book.

Dan

Founder & Director

Dan is the founder and director of 5Physio, he has mastered his craft in the NHS and Private sector for the last 10 years with a big ambition to provide elite Physiotherapy care to the local community. ‘Dan has a very diverse Physiotherapy background but specialises in chronic back and neck pain, always making sure the main focus is on diagnosing the root cause of someone’s pain rather than just symptom managing.

His unique experience working in many multi-disciplinary settings has allowed him to gain invaluable knowledge and has been able to tailor his treatments to provide successful outcomes for all his patients. He is a strong believer in combining a very hands on approach alongside other treatments such as joint manipulation, acupuncture, shockwave therapy, electrotherapy and rehabilitation to achieve fantastic results for everyone.

When he’s not in the clinic he’ll normally be found on the golf course sulking because his business partner Kane has beaten him over 18 holes.’

Kane

Medical Director

Kane is medical director at 5Physio. Prior to 5Physio, he was the Head of Department at one of the most established and respected Orthopaedic and Sports clinics in Dubai, UAE. There he treated athletes from many different sports, both professional/amateur and people from all around the world. He also covered large sporting events such as the Dubai Rugby 7s and assisted with professional football teams during their winter training breaks.

Before spending nearly 6 years as an expat, Kane worked in the UK for both the NHS and private sector. He has vast experience in treating sport injuries, tendinopathies(tendinitis), neck and shoulder pain. He has also had enough knee injuries playing football to keep his skills up to date.

Kane is a trained diagnostic ultrasonographer and feels that a thorough assessment and a clear diagnosis is essential in a successful outcome. He regularly uses treatments such as soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, dry needling and acupuncture to help aid his patients recovery.

When he is not spending time with the family, Kane enjoys playing golf and tennis, although both are more suited to the year round sunshine in Dubai. However, he is looking forward to showing Dan what the fairway looks like.
