Five Physio Great Dunmow

5 star physiotherapy clinic in Great Dunmow

Meet the Great Dunmow team

Chloe

Sports Therapist

Chloe graduated with a degree in Sports Therapy. She has gained experience in private practice as well as working pitch-side for local sports teams.

Chloe has worked within the NHS, with her role particularly focusing on exercise rehabilitation for a range of musculoskeletal conditions. She is also able to accompany this with hands on treatment such as dry needling, joint mobilisations and soft tissue massage.

Away from the clinic, Chloe enjoys keeping active as well as helping others hit their own personal goals through coaching a range of sports including rock climbing, kayaking and paddle boarding.

Fiona

Physiotherapist

Fiona is a compassionate physiotherapist with experience in the NHS, private practices, and sporting sectors. She specializes in injury rehabilitation and holistic care, offering personalized treatment that makes every client feel supported and valued.

Her expertise includes acupuncture, dry needling, shockwave therapy, ultrasound, massage, and exercise prescription, all aimed at enhancing your recovery and well-being. Her hands-on experience has only reinforced her belief in the healing power of manual therapy, and she is passionate about combining approaches to create tailored treatment plans to meet your unique needs.

Outside of work, Fiona enjoys staying active with travel, hiking, and paddleboarding. Her latest adventure, however, is tennis. Let’s just say she’s still working on her serve – if by “working on” you mean trying to keep the ball anywhere near the court.

Minnie

Receptionist

Minnie joined our team following a 25 year long career in hairdressing after which her aching back could take no more!

Minnie lives locally in Dunmow with her husband and two boys and loves walking, travelling and her husband’s cooking!

Dawn

Receptionist

Dawn joined our team after a career in Trading & Finance where she worked as a phone broker on the hectic LIFFE trading floor & as a PA to the Director of a large derivatives broking company.

Dawn left the city to concentrate on bringing up her two children in 2003 & now enjoys watching her Son play rugby & has a very active social life.

Sadie

Receptionist

Sadie joined our reception team at the beginning of February this year having had her own cleaning business for the previous 14 years but unfortunately had to stop due to aching joints!

She is always around her family and arranging days out and mini breaks with her 6 (soon to be 8) grandchildren!

Niamh

Physiotherapist

Niamh is our resident Hyrox champion, recently winning in Madrid. She competes in CrossFit competitions and as a professional dancer, was in the Dance World Cup and England finals.

This keen interest in elite sport has led her to develop a specific interest in functional training and sports rehab.

Niamh graduated from the University of Birmingham with a first-class honours in Physiotherapy. She is also qualified in acupuncture and likes a mixed approach to treatment consisting of manual treatment and rehab therapy to provide long term outcomes. She has worked in both the private sector and the NHS and has treated a wide variety of patients including athletes, people with chronic pain and many other musculoskeletal conditions.

She is also qualified in APPI Pilates which has been shown to be of great benefit for lower back pain, neck injuries and post-partum diastasis recti as it focuses on core strength, control and muscle activation. The principles of Pilates are also very beneficial for most athletes when working on movement pattern control and stability and she is excited to promote this within 5Physio and all its affiliates

Susi

Chief Administration Officer

Susi joined our reception team having previously worked for 18 years in education teaching German, within a few short years she has progressed to be our Chief Administration Officer (CAO).

Outside of work she enjoys long walks, going to the theatre and losing herself in a good book.

Kane

Medical Director

Kane is medical director at 5Physio. Prior to 5Physio, he was the Head of Department at one of the most established and respected Orthopaedic and Sports clinics in Dubai, UAE. There he treated athletes from many different sports, both professional/amateur and people from all around the world. He also covered large sporting events such as the Dubai Rugby 7s and assisted with professional football teams during their winter training breaks.

Before spending nearly 6 years as an expat, Kane worked in the UK for both the NHS and private sector. He has vast experience in treating sport injuries, tendinopathies(tendinitis), neck and shoulder pain. He has also had enough knee injuries playing football to keep his skills up to date.

Kane is a trained diagnostic ultrasonographer and feels that a thorough assessment and a clear diagnosis is essential in a successful outcome. He regularly uses treatments such as soft tissue massage, joint manipulation, dry needling and acupuncture to help aid his patients recovery.

When he is not spending time with the family, Kane enjoys playing golf and tennis, although both are more suited to the year round sunshine in Dubai. However, he is looking forward to showing Dan what the fairway looks like.

Dan

Founder & Director

Dan is the founder and director of 5Physio, he has mastered his craft in the NHS and Private sector for the last 10 years with a big ambition to provide elite Physiotherapy care to the local community. ‘Dan has a very diverse Physiotherapy background but specialises in chronic back and neck pain, always making sure the main focus is on diagnosing the root cause of someone’s pain rather than just symptom managing.

His unique experience working in many multi-disciplinary settings has allowed him to gain invaluable knowledge and has been able to tailor his treatments to provide successful outcomes for all his patients. He is a strong believer in combining a very hands on approach alongside other treatments such as joint manipulation, acupuncture, shockwave therapy, electrotherapy and rehabilitation to achieve fantastic results for everyone.

When he’s not in the clinic he’ll normally be found on the golf course sulking because his business partner Kane has beaten him over 18 holes.’
